“We have just returned from Guinea and had a fabulous trip.

And here is our itinerary:

Day 1: Late arrival and night in Conakry. Welcome by our host at the airport and overnight in Kipé.

Day 2: Departure for Kindia by bush taxi. Walk to Tabouna and bivouac near the waterfall, facing the valley.

Day 3: Departure for Dalaba by taxi. Visit of Miriam Makeba’s house and sunset at the SIB hotel. Overnight at Maison Notre Dame in Dalaba

Day 4: Departure for Brouwal Tappé. Walk from Brouwal Tappé to Kambadaga. Possible to cross the vine bridge (in fact ropes) but difficult because the bridge is not maintained in the dry season. Fording possible. Bivouac near the falls despite a somewhat confused situation with the locals.

Day 5: Trek from Kambadaga to Doucki and stay at Hassan Bah camp in Doucki.

Day 6: Walk around Doucki with Taibou Bah (son of Hassan). Improvised night in a village in the bush.

Day 7: Walk towards Aïnguel and stroll on the spot towards the falls along the Fétoré (Donsowol and Djourougi). Overnight at the 3 Cascades Camp.

Day 8: Motorbike transfer from Aïnguel to the Saala waterfall via Timbi Madina (Sunday market). Bivouac near the Salaa waterfall.

Day 9: Motorbike transfer to Lélouma and ride to the Dinkan ladders then transfer to Labé and night at the Tata hotel.

Day 10: Transfer by taxi-brousse to Pita and walk around the market, then to Dalaba. Visit of the palaver hut and night at the Maison Notre Dame in Dalaba.

Day 11: Stroll to the Pont de Dieu. Then transfer to Kindia. Complicated to find a vehicle in the middle of the day, so transfer to Mamou then to Kindia. Arrival around 11:00 p.m. at the Marcica hotel in Kindia.

Day 12: Transfer by bush taxi to Conakry. The car having broken down on the way, arrived at 15:00. Stroll to Kaloum to visit the cathedral and the fishing port of Boulbinet. Overnight in Airbnb “Petit Lac”.

Day 13: Visit to the Great Mosque (but due to works, entry prohibited) and to the craft market near the Palm Camayenne. Rest and transfer to the airport for night flight. »
